Niger Delta Innovative Institute is a training institution that produces self-reliant men and women towards professional excellence and adoption of modern techniques for better living.

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE INSTITUTE

Niger Delta Innovative Institute is a tertiary Institution of higher learning established in June, 2003 primarily to meet the yearning of the Youths who have been denied education in the Niger Delta, area & the country Nigeria. The establishment of the institution will also address educational backwardness of Bayelsa State. In fact, there was no private, state or Federal Polytechnic in the area until the creation of Bayelsa State. The opportunities for furthering one’s education in Bayelsa sate is met with lots of difficulties. Hence the establishment of the Niger Delta Innovative Institute which is a welcome development.

The main objective of the Institute according to the Governing Council is to provide full-time and part-time courses of instruction and training in Technology, Health Commerce and Management. The Institution is also expected to provide training in such other fields of applied learning relevant to the development of Bayelsa State and Niger Delta Area especially in the areas of Industrial, Agricultural production and distribution, research and adaptation techniques as the council of the Institute may determine from time to time.

Thus, Niger Delta Innovative Institute has positioned itself to meet these challenges. In this regard, our abiding vision is to be the leading private high institution in Nigeria, in providing first class academic, professional and entrepreneurial education for the purpose of making a positive impact in the technological and socio economic development of the country and Bayelsa State in particular. Towards the actualization of this, the institute has set for itself, the mission of producing knowledgeable and innovative graduates, worthy in skill and character through effective teaching and research for the technological advancement of Nigeria. It is our sincere belief that our student will identify with this vision and mission.

Today, Niger Delta Innovative Institute is strutted into three schools and academic departments.
